Massillon, OH. March 12, 2026 – PolyKinetix has been chosen to receive a $296,000 award to accelerate the startup of its Pilot Pyrolysis Line. PolyKinetix’s economic alternatives to open dumping contribute to improving human and environmental health. PolyKinetix’s new technology eliminates CO2 emissions, hazardous waste and the harmful chemicals commonly produced during the conversion of broad scope plastic and tire waste into value added products. PolyKinetix® mission is to set a new industry benchmark for zero environmental impact recycling through its closed-loop process.
The PolyKinetix Pilot Line will be operational in the third quarter of 2026, processing feeds from both post-consumer plastic waste and end-of-life tires. Engineering of the first two commercial scale modular skid-based systems is underway and slated for construction in 2027.
This investment by the Ohio Department of Development, awarded through the Polymer Industry Cluster, will be matched with $180,000 in local and internal funding, and will leverage an earlier in-kind grant of $20,000 from Synthe6. This continued recognition and funding reconfirms PolyKinetix’s position as a cornerstone of the global hub for polymer, located here, in Northeastern Ohio.
